Hands I Can Hold

So keep the things we can’t breathe without, & I’ll seek a woman like you,

& We’ll reach for hands with which I can learn, & we will keep these,

Hands I can hold I can hold,

So she said to me, give me words that I can fold, & I’ll keep them in my pocket above my shirt & above my heart & above my home, these hands I can hold I can hold,

Turmeric in teas & wisdom of our own,

There is plastic in our seas & there is plastic in our homes, in our homes,

These hands I can hold I can hold,

Hands I can hold, I can hold X2

So we will share some tea on the porch, & spend time,

In the sea before & after dark,

all this stone & wood, all this stone & wood will stay here,

all this stone & wood, all this stone & wood will stay clear,

& we’ll get old,

Hands I can hold, I can hold,

Hands I can hold, I can hold x2

& I can’t promise you much, but time by the sea,

See I can’t promise you things, but I can promise you these,

Hands I can hold I can hold x7
