Speaking about the collaboration, Ziggy Alberts said: "A couple years ago, I was introduced to Vitor’s music through only 2 degrees of separation; and since then, I’ve loved listening to his music, despite not knowing much Portuguese. Sometime after, I wrote REWIND, and due to the Bossa Nova inspiration of the track (and the broken Latin pickup line), I hoped Vitor would join me and we could tell this story in 2 languages, for the love of it. It’s always amazing when we bridge the gap between countries, cultures and languages through music. I love the energy that Vitor has brought to this story."

 
Vitor Kley added: "I really enjoyed recording this track with Ziggy. It’s the first song I've recorded in English, an extraordinary step in my career. It's part Brazilian, part Portuguese and part Australian, which I feel is a beautiful mix."
